KUALA LUMPUR: A man enraged with a couple’s loud argument at a rented apartment in Brickfields decided to slam his car into the couple’s vehicle recently.

The recording which shows the car driven by the suspect slamming into the couple’s vehicle at the apartment’s parking lot has since gone viral across social media platforms.

Brickfields district police chief Assistant Commissioner Ku Mashariman Ku Mahmood, said the police received the report of the incident from a 40-year-old man on April 22.

He said during the 2.15pm incident, the complainant and his girlfriend were having an argument in the house which was loud.

“The 35-year-old male suspect who is also a friend to the complainant’s housemate was apparently furious with the couple’s ongoing argument.

“The misunderstanding which went beyond the apartment unit, saw the suspect blatantly ram his car into the couple’s vehicle while it was heading out of the parking lot.

“While the vehicle sustained extensive damage but the complainant did not sustain any injuries,” he said in a statement, today.

Acting on the report, Ku Mashariman said, a team of police officers investigating the case arrested the suspect in Brickfields on Wednesday (April 24).

He further said, checks revealed the suspect had several past criminal records since 2014 and is wanted by the police in relation to a criminal case in Cheras.

The suspect has since been remanded for three days for investigations under Section 427 of the Penal Code for committing mischief.
