Imagine this— you purchased two sticks of lemang and happily bring it back home. But sitting deep within the lemang, is a dead frog.
That is what exactly occurred to a Malaysian man recently. He shared his shocking encounter to the Resepi Si Bujang Facebook page.
“I often hear people talk about eating frog lemang, but in the end, I experience it myself.”
He shared that he had purchased two sticks of lemang and brought it back to KL. When he was almost done with the entire stick, he noticed something stuck at the end.
Upon closer inspection, it was a dead whole frog!
The man also attached a 36-second video of the discovery. The dead frog could be seen stuck to the sticky rice.

According to the man, he is a loyal customer of the lemang seller and has been purchasing the lemang for years.
“Maybe this year, I wasn’t so lucky,” said the customer.
“I apologise to the vendor for posting this, I just want to let you know to be more careful when making the lemang after this,” he added.
This video has received over 2.1k likes, with more than 1.2k comments from netizens who were questioning how did the frog get into the lemang in the first place.
“I was just having a craving for lemang. I wanted to ask my husband to buy some tomorrow, but now I’m a bit scared to buy,” commented a netizen.
“How could this happen? I usually ask my husband to split the lemang, then I cut it onto plates. Plus, if something didn’t catch our attention, it might have already gone halfway into our stomachs before we notice,” commented another.
