Fire destroys recycling factory

MUAR: Firemen has spent over 12 hours to fight a blaze which broke out at a recycling factory in Pagoh here early today.
At 4.37pm, the fire-fighting operation involving 23 firemen was still ongoing.
According to Muar Fire and Rescue Department chief, senior assistant superintendent Marzuki Ismail, the firemen were facing an uphill task to put out the blaze due to the combustible plastic materials in the factory.
He said 23 fire-fighters in four engines from the Muar, Tangkak and Bukit Gambir stations were deployed to the scene following a distress call at 4.54am. — Bernama
