Clear skies across the board

KUALA LUMPUR: The haze situation in the country continues to improve with most areas recording consistent moderate to good Air Pollutant Index (API) as of 9am today.
According to the Department of Environment (DOE), as at 9am, 29 areas showed moderate API such as Shah Alam (88), Nilai (86), Port Klang and Batu Muda (81) and Langkawi (75).
Several other areas were Alor Star, Seri Manjung, Petaling Jaya, Banting and Putrajaya which recorded moderate API at 74.
Meanwhile, 15 areas, especially in Sabah and Sarawak recorded good API at between 21 and 50.
An API reading of 0 to 50 indicates good air quality; 51 to 100, moderate; 101 to 200, unhealthy; 201 to 300, very unhealthy and above 300, hazardous.
